Fruit into schools

Our “Fruit into Schools” initiative is a joint venture between the Phillipi Market, Cape Town Foodbank and the Peninsula School Feeding Scheme, in which fruit is included in the feeding scheme menus for schools, contributing to a sustainable programme for particularly underprivileged Western Cape schools. If the FPEF can encourage this “Fruit into Schools” programme to be rolled out nationwide, it will make an enormous difference to our industry and poorer communities in need.
